Royal Ontario Museum
ROM Friday Night Live
Bring a new element to the ROM’s FNL by introducing virtual reality to attendees
The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is a museum of art, world culture and natural history. It is one of the largest museums in North America with over six million items, forty galleries and more than one million visitors each year. Every Friday night during the spring and fall, the entire ROM is converted into a party known as Friday Night Live (FNL). This spectacle of young professionals dancing amongst the mummies and using virtual reality in the Rome exhibit was one of our favourite events of 2016. There is something to be said for using Google Tilt Brush and creating a new level of art in a museum of natural history.
